When asked to think of a feminist issue, "food" isn't the first thing to come to mind for most people. Yet, whether we're talking about issues of food production, access, and more, systems of gender and other forms of oppression are often intricately connected. Why should feminists be concerned with food security, food justice, and food sovereignty, and how is food wrapped up in gender and other forms of justice? We'll talk about these questions and more in this session.
Throughout the conversation, one of our panellists will also be providing viewers with some at-home demonstrations for growing your own food, including how to plant seedlings as well as transplant them outdoors. This session has something for everyone - don't miss out!
Speakers include Gurneet K. Dhami, Rav Singh, and Zartasha Zainab.
