CEA’s annual Research Forum invites subject matter experts across risk and resiliency disciplines to come together and discuss groundbreaking ways to improve the safety and security of our communities.
This year’s forum will concentrate on Equitable Residential Earthquake Resilience in California, with the focus on translating research into action.
As the world transitions out of the COVID-19 pandemic, CEA will be introducing a low-income supplemental grant in conjunction with the Earthquake Brace + Bolt program. Recent experience with health science communication and the inequitable impacts of a disaster on vulnerable communities can inform and improve the proposed grant. The conference will discuss “lessons from the pandemic” and resilience equity issues in order to develop strategies for a successful program launch, and to promote resilience justice throughout the state.
