The State Government has announced a $5.1B package to help Small Businesses affected by the current lockdown - these measures are designed to assist our clients during this difficult time.
In addition, the Federal Government has made changes to it’s COVID-19 Disaster Payment program.
In brief, some of the assistance covers:
• Cash payments of between $375 & $600 per week to people who have lost working hours
• Direct payment to business <$50m turnover - from $1,500 to $10,000 per week, subject to tests
• A one off grant of between $7,500 and $15,000 for businesses who have lost more than 30% of turnover to cover operating expenses
• Additional mental health support funding - Lifeline/Headspace, etc.
Service NSW & Service Australia (myGov) will progressively be updating their website between now and the end of the month.
During JobKeeper in 2020, we were able to help our clients navigate this new legislation and as always, are here to help again.
We are hosting an information session via WEBINAR on Wednesday, 21st July at 5:30pm - 6:00pm, to cover how the various payments work, eligibility and what records you need to show.
