Toward Monumental Justice Keynote Conversation
As the world bears witness to the widespread protests that directly confront racism and the institutions that uphold its existence, monuments continue to function as sites of radical gathering and critical action. This keynote discussion will focus on the work that is being done to acknowledge, remove, and reimagine how monuments function within our society. The event features Zyahna Bryant (Student Activist and Community Organizer), Geoff Ward (Professor of African and African-American Studies at Washington University), and lauren woods (Artist) in conversation with Paul M. Farber (Monument Lab Artist Director and Co-Founder). Cheeraz Gormon (Poet and Storyteller) will start the conversation off with an opening reading.
