About our speaker: Ary Carvalho-Mires is a practicing physical therapist at [re+active] therapy and wellness in West LA. Passionate about serving people with neurologic conditions, she works with clients to develop individualized and creative treatments to reach their goals. Dr Carvalho-Mires earned a bachelor’s degree in exercise physiology from Chico State and a doctorate in physical therapy from USC. She is the 2021 Schmidt Movement Disorders Fellow at [re+active] and works to spread awareness and accessibility to physical therapy for all individuals with movement disorders. When she is not in the clinic you’re most likely to Dr. Carvalho-Mires outside on a hike, working in her garden, or trying out a new hobby.
