What is it like to work at the National Center for Atmospheric Research? Students can go behind-the-scenes, live with NCAR experts to ask questions and learn about their work

PROGRAM DESCRIPTION: From sea ice to cloud cover to incoming energy from the sun, scientists gather a lot of information to process and understand our planet. Software engineers at the National Center for Atmospheric Research work in data science to help make all of this data usable, understandable, and accessible for scientists and the public. Join us to learn how NCAR software engineer Max Grover is helping improve our understanding of global climate through coding, computer science, creativity, and problem solving.

LENGTH: 30-45 minutes

GRADES: Designed for Middle & High School, but all welcome

CONNECTION: We will connect using Zoom. All you need is a computer or smart device connected to the internet.
