Dr. Cindy Russell of Physicians for Safe Technology
Join us for an interview with Dr. Cindy Russell, Executive Director of Physicians for Safe Technology! At the cutting edge of research on the health impacts of wireless technology, Dr. Russell has studied toxins for more than 20 years. Her work with Physicians for Safe Technology is focused on protecting the public, education and advocacy for environmental health and safety. She believes we can create a world where technology serves our needs without undermining our physical or environmental health.

Dr. Russell will be discussing her latest work and answering your questions with Theodora Scarato, Executive Director of Environmental Health Trust.
Dr. Cindy Russell is Executive Director of Physicians for Safe Technology, a non-profit group formed to educate physicians and the public about the science, risks, and safer use of wireless technology. After completing training at Stanford University in plastic surgery, Dr. Russell started practice in Mountain View, California. Treating breast cancer patients and witnessing the epidemic of breast cancer over the last 30 years, she became interested in public health and the root causes of chronic illness along with prevention strategies.

She is presently President of the Santa Clara Medical Association. She has studied toxins for the Environmental Health Committee of this association for more than 20 years. During that time, she has authored many policy resolutions related to reducing environmental toxins at the California Medical Association House of Delegates. In 2001 she led the effort to pass the Santa Clara County Integrated Pest Management
ordinance to reduce pesticide exposure on County property. Her focus continues to be disease prevention and environmental health through toxics reduction.
