Author Cat Patrick presents her debut middle grade novel, Tornado Brain
In conversation with Rachel Vail
Greenlight Bookstore is thrilled to welcome author Cat Patrick to discuss her moving debut middle grade novel, TORNADO BRAIN, the heartfelt story of a neurodivergent 7th grader named Frankie who is determined to find her missing (former) best friend, Colette. Frankie's wonderfully unique first person voice takes readers inside her head as she struggles with changes to her routine, difficult distractions, and frustration that things seem so much easier for other kids her age.
But when Colette vanishes, Frankie is convinced she has left clues behind that only she can decipher, and persuades her sister Tess to help her unravel the mystery.
Greenlight welcomes kids, classrooms, and families to join Cat for a reading, conversation, and moderated Q+A about her insightful and unforgettable novel, exploring sisterhood, forgiveness, and finding space to be yourself, however you experience the world. Joining Cat in conversation is Rachel Vail, award-winning author of more than thirty books for young readers.
