The forces acting on tall structures in the Energy market, such as dams and wind towers in windfarms are very complex and the risk of designing structures on assumptions leads to the question if a structure is performing as intended. Additionally, the mechanisms of damage are often hidden, leaving inaccurate visual assessments as the only way owners practically assess aged facilities.
