How do you ask the question “How are you?” with special guest Dylan Hartley
Sainty, Hird & Partners in association with the City Mental Health Alliance is pleased to invite you to a webinar with special guest, former England rugby captain Dylan Hartley.

Dylan Hartley, winner of 97 international caps, will share his story in conversation with Ralph Grayson, Partner at Sainty, Hird & Partners. Dylan will talk about his experience as an elite sportsman, as well as sport's increasing demand on players and the toll it is taking on their mental health. He will also talk about the importance of having more open conversations about mental health, and how we can all start a conversation about this sensitive issue. Dylan will then be joined in a panel discussion by Brian Heyworth, Chair of CMHA and Co-Managing Partner at Lansdowne Partners and Anastasia Vinnikova, Wellbeing Lead at the Bank of England. They will discuss their experiences of protecting and supporting wellbeing in highly pressured and demanding environments, be that the sports field or the corporate workplace. The panel will be moderated by Poppy Jaman OBE, CEO of CMHA and Trustee for the Centre for Mental Health.

Dylan Hartley
Rugby legend Dylan Hartley retired from the game in 2019 after a standout career for both club and country. Dylan is the third most-capped England men’s player of all-time with 97 appearances, 30 as Captain. Dylan led England to a record-equalling unbeaten run of 18 Test matches, as well as two Six Nations titles (including one Grand Slam) and two away series wins. Dylan is now a respected analyst on televised rugby coverage, Podcast host, and brand ambassador for a number of key partners including O2, Simply Health, NatWest, ThruDark and Irwin Mitchell. Dylan also found time earlier this year to release his autobiography ‘The Hurt’, a brutally honest and open account of life as a professional sportsman. Dylan is married to Jo and they live on a beautiful farm in Northamptonshire that they are currently renovating. They have two children. Their daughter Thea is five years old, with son Rex born earlier this year. Roux, the family’s Ridegback, is two.
Poppy Jaman

Poppy is an internationally respected mental health advocate, national policy advisor and social entrepreneur who has worked in more than ten countries. She is the co-founder of Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) England and was CEO until June 2018. In 2017, the Secretary of State named Poppy as one of England’s mental health experts, and in the 2018 New Year’s Honours, she was awarded an OBE in recognition of her services to people with mental health issues.
