Register now for Inside the Vault: Highlights from the Gilder Lehrman Collection. This program will explore ​a letter from Eleanor Roosevelt on the four basic rights of all Americans.

Join our panel of curators and educators on Friday, August 21 from 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. ET (11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. PT) to learn the fascinating story behind this letter. This event is for teachers, students and their families — and everyone with an interest in history!

Mandel Holland
History Teacher @Woodlands Middle High School in Hartsdale, NY
Mandel Holland is currently serving as a History Teacher at Woodlands Middle High School in Hartsdale, NY. He has taught history courses to 7th through 12th grade students at Woodlands since 2011, to include serving as an Assistant Principal for 3 years. As an administrator, Mandel was charged with evaluating Teacher Performance for all educators in the English and History departments. Prior to Woodlands, Mandel taught History and Media Studies in The Bronx for nine years where he was a Japan Fulbright Memorial Fund Scholar. Mandel graduated from Fordham University with a B.A. in History and a minor in African-American Studies. He also holds a Master of Fine Arts degree from NYU as well as Masters degrees from Manhattanville College in Secondary Education and Building and District Administration.
