Michael Everman
Archivist
Michael Everman received his B.A. in history at Cameron University in Lawton, Oklahoma in 1975, and his M.A. in history from Oklahoma State University in Stillwater in 1977. He has worked as an archivist and humanities program specialist with the Oklahoma Department of Libraries, Oklahoma Historical Society, University of Missouri-Columbia, and with educational associations in Washington, D.C. and Austin, Texas. He is a Certified Archivist and active with the Association of St. Louis Area Archivists. Mike retired in October 2006 after twenty years working with the Missouri State Archives on the St. Louis Circuit Court Historical Records Project. Mike is now enjoying research, travel to historical and natural sites, and consulting on local history and archives. Michael collaborates with many local and regional repositories and agencies to identify, preserve, and make accessible records of nineteenth-century Missourians
