Resolving South Asia’s Clean Air and Health Crisis – Phasing out Fossil Fuels for Clean Air – Evidence from Medical Professionals
The event organised by Climate Action Network (CANSA), Doctors for Clean Air and Climate Action (DFCA), Health Care Without Harm (HCWH), Fossil Fuel Non-Proliferation Treaty (FFNPTT) & Climate Trends , is part of ongoing efforts to inform lawmakers and government representatives on ways to address the climate change and health crisis that is fuelled by air pollution caused by burning of fossil fuels.

This event is a follow-up to the webinar on September 7, 2021, which marked the beginning of a regional collaboration of the public health and medical experts on air pollution, climate, and health.

Since evidence is clear that fossil fuels are the root cause of air pollution and climate crisis, so members of the health community from South Asia that came together nationally and regionally to endorse the Fossil Fuel Non-Proliferation Treaty (FFNPT), and now together with parliamentarians hope to solve the air pollution crisis and combat the climate crisis together and hopes to take forward the dialogue that air pollution is a public health emergency and affects the quality of life of people in the region to a logical conclusion.
