During his almost 30-year career, he has negotiated and closed more than $5 billion in equity and debt transactions, while establishing relationships with many of the industries’ key financiers, investors and operators. Through Mr. Hutchinson’s leadership, the family of companies has achieved significant growth; more than tripling in size over the last five years and ranking amongst the top 10 operators in the country. His vision of developing a business culture of innovation, integrity and creativity, while being analytically driven, has pushed the company to the leading edge of the industry, redefining seniors housing along the way. Mark Myers (Managing Director @Walker & Dunlop) With more than 30 years of real estate experience, Managing Director Mark Myers is responsible for the sale and disposition of seniors housing properties across the United States. Mr. Myers brings a wealth of expertise to the company and has consistently been one of the industry’s top brokers, receiving many prestigious awards. He was also inducted into the Midwest Real Estate Hall of Fame in 2012. Mr. Myers specializes in seniors housing properties of all types, including assisted living facilities, independent living facilities, freestanding memory care facilities, skilled nursing facilities, continuing care retirement communities, and age-restricted apartments. Before joining Walker & Dunlop, Mr. Myers served as Executive Managing Director for Institutional Property Advisors (IPA), a division of Marcus & Millichap. There, he and his team closed over $8 billion of seniors housing transactions with 65,000 units across 46 states. Mitch Brown (Principal Consultant @Senior Housing Consulting) Mitch Brown is Principal Consultant for Senior Housing Consulting. With more than 25 years of experience in all facets of senior housing he now provides strategic guidance to investors, developers and operators of active adult and full service senior living communities. Prior to forming his own consulting firm Mitch served as Senior Managing Director for Greystar’s Active Adult platform and was the Chief Development Officer for Kisco Senior Living, a full-service senior living owner and operator. He served as the Chair of the ULI Senior Housing Council for several years and has been an active member of the American Seniors Housing Association for over 20 years. He holds a BA degree from The Evergreen State College and earned his MA from UCLA’s School of Architecture and Urban Planning.
