She works at the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health and the Centre for Headache at Women's College Hospital. She is a lecturer in psychiatry and neurology at the University of Toronto. Suvendrini also teaches a course called Staging Medicine, a collaboration between the Theatre Centre and University of Toronto Postgraduate Medical Education. Dr. Candice Todd MD, MSc, FRCPC (Neurologist and Headache Medicine Specialist @Scarborough Health Network) Dr. Candice Todd MD, MSc, FRCPC is a general neurologist and a headache medicine specialist at the Scarborough Health Network in Toronto, Canada. She completed her residency at the University of Toronto and completed her fellowship in Headache Medicine at the University of Toronto under the supervision of Dr. Christine Lay. She is interested in Women’s Issues in Neurology, specifically pregnancy and its impacts on headache, as well as gender and racial disparities in neurological diseases. Stacia Stewart (Community Health Educator & Advocate, Birth, Postpartum & Fertility Doula @Parkdale Queen West Community Health Centre, Stacia Stewart Doula Services) Stacia Stewart (she/her) is a community health educator and advocate. For over 25 years she has initiated and implemented community wellness programs in different communities across Canada in the areas of anti-violence work, infant and child development & care, reproductive justice and perinatal health, doula care, LGBTQ health promotion, and newcomer settlement services. She has co-founded two Ontario-based doula non-profit organizations focused on education, advocacy and accessible doula care within Black, Indigenous, 2SLGBTQ and racialized communities. Stacia is currently working in community health, completing a graduate degree focused on adult education, a contributing board director at the Ocama Collective, and living in Tkaronto with her 3 teenaged children. Stacia also experiences chronic migraines. Angie Antonio (Researcher, Medical Student @Women's College Hospital, University of Calgary) Angie Antonio is a first-year medical student at the Cumming School of Medicine at the University of Calgary and completed a degree in Neuroscience at Western University. Having been on the executive team of the Black Student’s Association during her undergrad, Angie has accomplished a myriad of endeavors for the organization and wishes to continue the fight against racial inequalities. Through her advocacy work for Black, racialized, and marginalized groups, she hopes to implement tangible ventures that held value and supported students. She is currently the VP of Events of the Black Medical Student's Association in Calgary and is involved in many other co-curricular activities. Her strong passion for health equity has inspired her to explore interventions to promote accessible healthcare both locally and globally to those of marginalized communities. Muhanad Ahmed Ali (Research Coordinator @Women's college Hospital) Muhanad Ali is a seasoned public health and policy professional, with a passion for health equity and making meaningful improvement in healthcare delivery and outcomes for all Canadians. He is also a qualitative researcher with an interest in cancer screening, health equity, and the social determinants of health. His research project titled Caafimaadka Waa Qaali: A Qualitative Research Study Examining the Barriers, Perceptions, and Beliefs Towards Breast, Cervical, and Colorectal Cancer Screening among Somalis in Toronto, Ontario has been awarded the REC Scholarship from the Muslim Medical Association of Canada, on his contributions to his community through research and education.
