Gaelynn Lea
Musician and Disability Rights Advocate
Classically trained violinist and songwriter Gaelynn Lea has been bewitching scores of fans with her haunting original songs and experimental takes on traditional fiddle music; her approach incorporates live looping, thoughtful lyrics and sonic exploration. She has has graced the stage of renowned venues like Nashville’s Music City Roots, The Kennedy Center, House of Blues and even BBC World News. She has shared her story as an artist and person with a disability on The Moth and the TEDx stage. Gaelynn has released three full-length solo albums to date and has recorded several E.P.’s over the years. She is releasing her latest single in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic, an instrumental, improvisational piece aptly titled “Rebuild”.
