Herb Hammond, a Registered Professional Forester and forest ecologist with over 30 years of experience, will share his talk 'From Intact Forests to Degraded Fibre Farms a Story of Privatized Public Forests and How to Change the Story,' discussing how BC has gone from intact forests to degraded fibre farms and what we need to do to protect our forests.

Bob Brett, a local forest ecologist, professional biologist and board director for the Whistler Naturalists, will contextualize this information for Whistler, giving us more information about Whistler's Cheakamus Community Forest and the old and ancient trees in our region.
