On June 14th, UNICEF, ECDAN, AKDN, and the LEGO Foundation invite ECD practitioners to join them in a Technical Help Chat focused on building the capacity of frontline workers to deliver playful parenting, using existing training packages such as Care for Child Development (CCD).
The Technical Help Chat will delve deeper into how to strengthen the knowledge and skills of various frontline workers and build upon previous webinars on this topic.
What is a Technical Help Chat?
A panel of experts from academia and implementing agencies will provide advice on how to solve real challenges (in this case challenges focused on frontline worker capacity building) faced by participants in the Technical Help Chat. Unlike a webinar, the format of a technical help chat is entirely based on Q&A to allow for more time for discussion.
What topic will the Technical Help Chat focus on?
The Technical Help Chat will focus on challenges that practitioners/implementers of models such as Care for Child Development (CCD) encounter, and will address questions specifically linked to the workforce and capacity building such as:
1. What are professional development strategies to support the workforce delivering CCD and other playful parenting models to ensure that they are effective, but not overburdened?
2. In what ways can we ensure that the workforce is strengthening skills to support caregivers and families specifically on play and communication?
3. In what ways can workforce development of front-line workers implementing playful parenting be delivered in different settings?
