This workshop is appropriate for anyone working with a child with cerebral palsy including kindergarten and school assistants, teaching staff, parents, carers, respite workers, relatives and family friends.
It covers the basic anatomy of your spine and how the joints, muscles and discs interact with each other. It specifically examines how your spine can react when performing manual handling tasks such as those encountered when working with children with physical disabilities. Participants will learn how to relate basic principles of back care to real-life situations to promote correct manual handling practices and lifelong support for their backs.
Free for all Victorian Government School Staff.
This workshop will take place online.
