The Festival helps promote and preserve the arts and culture of the Southeast Asian communities in San Francisco, and specifically highlights some of the Southeast Asian Refugee communities which have a history in the Tenderloin.
This year we have a special virtual showcase, we will be featuring a Southeast Asian traditional music – Vietnamese zithers, Laos khene, traditional folk dance, culinary arts – papaya salad demonstration, arts & craft (origami) – lanterns, Laos Baci, painting, Thai Fruit Carving, and Language – poem .
We will also have representatives from the Burmese, Cambodian, Laotian, Thai, and Vietnamese communities, as well as collaborations with the SEAACC Tenderloin Residents.
