The Northern Rockies Ecosystem Protection Act: A conversation with Carole King and Alliance for the Wild Rockies
Join WildEarth Guardians for this very special Earth Day-eve WildEarth Webinar featuring Carole King.

Not only is Carole King one of the most celebrated and iconic singer/songwriters of all time, but she also has been actively involved with wilderness and wildlife preservation for decades.

Carole King will be joined by Mike Garrity of the Alliance for the Wild Rockies for a conversation with John Horning, executive director of WildEarth Guardians about the Northern Rockies Ecosystem Protection Act (NREPA).

NREPA is a bold and visionary bill in Congress that would designate 23 million acres of wildlands in the northern Rockies as wilderness and designate 1,800 miles of rivers and streams as Wild and Scenic Rivers. NREPA would also establish a system of biological corridors, to connect large protected areas and preserve the migration patterns and habitats of native wildlife like grizzly bears, Canada lynx, bull trout, wolverines, and gray wolves.

Listen in and learn about how NREPA also complements President Joe Biden's executive order to put America on the path of protecting 30 percent of its land and 30 percent of its ocean areas by 2030. You’ll also be able to ask questions of any of the panelists about how land protection efforts like NREPA will significantly advance the goals of the Green New Deal and help the U.S. meet its nationally determined contribution to the Paris Climate Agreement.
