Addressing the Impact of Suburban Segregation

South Suburban Housing Center's Fair Housing Month observance explores the historical causes and sociological factors of Chicago's racially segregated south suburbs, as well as solutions for repairing disparities impacting communities.

Featured presenters include Nikitra Bailey, Senior Vice President of Public Policy for the National Fair Housing Alliance, and Maria Kryson, PhD., Professor of Sociology for the University of Illinois at Chicago and co-author of "Cycle of Segregation: Social Processes and Residential Stratification" released in 2017.
