CFA Institute x ACCA Ethics Webinar - The Battle for Business Ethics
In celebrating the Global Ethics Day 2020, ACCA and CFA Institute collaborated for the first time to launch an Ethics Essay Competition for our members and student population. The Competition endeavors to promote ethics and integrity in finance and investment management.

On 3rd of December 2020, we are organizing a webinar to announce the grand champion of our competition and invite the winning author to present his/her masterpiece. We have also invited the judges to share their observations and thoughts for the competition, and to share their insights and experience on the topic of ethics. Do join us on this maiden event to celebrate the goodness of ethics.

Alan Lok, CFA, FRM

Alan Lok is responsible for engaging the growing CFA Institute member societies in Asia Pacific in advocacy work. In his role, Mr Lok works with member societies to advance awareness and adoption of CFA Institute ethics and standards, as well policy positions on financial market integrity issues. This involves outreach to local stakeholders, including the industry, financial regulator, and the public across the APAC markets. Alan also managed thought leadership research projects carried out by societies leaders as well as facilitating their advocacy activities on the Asia-Pacific Research Exchange (ARX) post publication. Alan joined CFA Institute in February 2014 as the Director of Capital Markets Policy in the Standards & Advocacy Division (APAC) before moving to the role of Director, Society Advocacy Engagement (APAC) in January 2017. In that role, Alan has built up great relationships with society leaders and volunteers in the APAC region.
Stratos Pourzitakis, CFA, PhD
Director, Society Advocacy Engagement APAC @CFA Institute
Stratos is the Director, Society Advocacy Engagement APAC at CFA Institute. He leads CFA Institute efforts to engage APAC societies in conducting advocacy initiatives in their local markets. In parallel, he offers training and support to CFA societies in the APAC region to engage in advocacy outreach with local stakeholders. Previously, he worked as head of research at Asian Private Banker, he was a part-time lecturer at Hong Kong Baptist University, and he worked for more than five years at the Greek Ministry of Finance. He is also the vice-chairman of the Financial Services Business Council of the European Chamber of Commerce in Hong Kong. Stratos holds a PhD in Government and International Studies from Hong Kong Baptist University, a Master of International Public Policy from Osaka University, and a bachelor’s degree in Accounting and Finance.

Ernest Wong has been a Committee Member of ACCA Hong Kong since 2014, in addition to his role as the Co-chairman of Professional Development Sub-committee and SME Sub-committee since 2014. He is currently the President and Group CFO of KVB Holdings Limited. Ernest has more than 25 years of experience in venture capital, corporate finance, business development, legal, IT, financial and general management. He has been working as executive director and CFO of listed companies in Hong Kong and London Stock exchange and private equity fund manager in international PE funds.
