Writing is a solitary profession, but you can get engaged in a writers’ community to find the feedback and encouragement you need from colleagues. Actively participating in a community—whether focused on genre or region, in-person or online— can benefit both your craft and your career. This discussion will provide guidance on how to find a writers’ group, how to identify a workshop that will be worth your time, how to manage the obligations of literary citizenship, and more. We’ll hear from five authors who manage or are actively involved in local and regional writers’ groups.
A Q&A will follow the presentation; you can pre-submit a question when registering for the event. A recording will be made available for those who cannot attend live.
The event will take place via Zoom with automatic closed captioning. To request any other accessibility features, please email firstname.lastname@example.org and we will make every effort to accommodate.
