Community Health Workers Advancing Child Health Equity

A year ago, The Children's Partnership hosted a webinar highlighting the opportunity to advance child health equity through services provided by community health workers and promotores (CHW/Ps).

Now, California is on the cusp of implementing a new benefit in Medi-Cal that will utilize CHW/Ps to help support and protect the health and well-being of millions of California's children and their families through education, outreach, navigation, advocacy and other services that prevent disease, prolong life, and promote physical and mental health.

Join us for a conversation about the policy, its implementation, and its potential impact on children; as well as child-focused CHW/P models & trainings in CA with leaders from the CA Department of Health Care Services and Health Care Access and Information, El Sol Neighborhood Educational Center, Loma Linda University Health, and more.
