In her role, Hannah provides strategic direction to the organization and oversees its operations along with engaging key stakeholders about the value of animal agriculture and providing guidance to the animal agriculture community about managing various issues, including animal rights extremist activity and campaigns. Hannah joined the Alliance in 2014 and has served in various leadership roles involving communications, issues management and strategic engagement. Hannah’s passion for the future of animal agriculture and expertise in farm security, crisis management and effective communication strategies have made her a sought-after spokesperson, speaker and columnist. Dallas Hockman (Vice President of Industry Relations @National Pork Producers Council) Dallas Hockman has more than 25 years of experience in agricultural marketing. Dallas has an extensive background in the area of sales, sales management, product development, brand management, business start-up, and event marketing. Dallas has traveled extensively internationally, involved in new business start-up, consulting, oversight of business units, and presenting at numerous marketing conferences around the world. Dallas Hockman is the Vice President of Industry Relations for the National Pork Producers Council. In his current role Dallas is responsible for enhancing relationships with the industry sectors from pork producers all the way to the consumers. Prior to becoming a part of the National Pork Producers Council staff in 2006, Dallas was Vice President of Demand Enhancement for the National Pork Board, responsible for the National Pork Board’s product marketing programs worldwide. Dr. Ashley Peterson (Senior Vice President, Scientific and Regulatory Affairs @National Chicken Council) As senior vice president of scientific and regulatory affairs, Dr. Peterson’s responsibilities at the National Chicken Council include food safety, poultry inspection and animal welfare issues, as well as keeping her finger on the pulse of initiatives within the Washington, D.C. regulatory agencies. Immediately prior to joining the council, Peterson served as vice president of government relations for the United Egg Producers where she worked with Congress and the regulatory agencies on a variety of issues including organic egg production and food safety. She has also served both as the director of legislative affairs and director of regulatory affairs at the American Meat Institute, where her responsibilities included environmental and sustainability issues, animal welfare and lobbying Congress.
