When it comes to gender equality, it seems ironic that we continue to frame gender equality almost solely as a women’s issue. For as long as at least 52 women are murdered every year, and just 17.1 percent make it to CEO, it will be a women’s issue. But to see gender equality through a prism of power and privilege that only affects women implies that freedom for men is absolute. Which it is not.
In honour of Father’s Day, our LIVE coaching on September 3 will explore how healthy masculinity can foster psychological safety at home and at work. The conversation will focus on men, work, care and flexibility, as some of our favourite male leaders shed some light on their own lived experience. There will also be a touch of fun, as we hold the conversation alongside a virtual cooking demonstration. This session put gender stereotypes on the chopping block by exploring the notion of healthy masculinity and how dads can actively dismantle gender equality through engagement in the household.
Grace Papers founder and CEO, Prue Gilbert, will host the discussion and a live Q&A will run at the end of the event. Panellists will be announced shortly.
