Both subclinical and overt blood sugar dysregulation plays a huge role not only in the diabetes epidemic but also in so many of our clients’ clinical presentations: mood, cognition, energy, inflammation, pain, weight management, cardiovascular disease, certain forms of reproductive hormone imbalance, and more. This is one the core body systems and patterns for which diet, lifestyle, and herbs can be tremendously helpful. In this class we’ll discuss some basics and focus on supportive herbal options including herbal bitters, sours, fiber/mucilage, fenugreek, gymnema, blueberry, nigella, cinnamon, holy basil, and others that help our clients more successfully manage their blood sugar alongside diet and lifestyle approaches. Safety and caution tips will also be included. This class will be most specific for subclinical and overt insulin resistance and type 2 diabetes.
