Connecting the dots: Climate change adaptation, reproductive justice & resilient health care
Language: English with live interpretation in French and Spanish

Climate change is one of the defining crises of our time, affecting people’s sexual and reproductive health and rights around the world. Women and girls disproportionately bear the brunt of climate-related events and environmental stress. Women are more vulnerable to the impact of climate change because they lack power. In effect, climate crises deny women the ability to make their reproductive choices.

In this context, Ipas, FIGO and MSI Reproductive Choices are organising this event at the margin of the COP26 UN climate change conference and the Global Conference on Health & Climate Change with a special focus on climate change, reproductive justice and resilient health systems.

In this dynamic moderated discussion, speakers will share their ideas, actions and lessons learned from their work addressing the impact of climate change on gender equity and sexual and reproductive health and rights. This session will promote learning across sectors, cooperation and coordination.
