Session 1: An Overview of Financing Nature Based Solutions and Ecosystem Services
This workshop covers how Nature Based Solutions create and enhance environmental services that can be quantified and monetized. It will cover both the types of ecosystem services that can be monetized, as well as the monetization instruments. Focus will be on new innovations in monetization, with some coverage of existing mechanisms. The session will also introduce important concepts in quantifying the value of ecosystem services prior to enable monetization.
