Professor James J. McKenna, is recognized as the world’s leading authority on mother-infant cosleeping and its relationship to breastfeeding and SIDS. He is a Fellow of the American Association for the Advancement of Science and received the 2008 “Anthropology in the Media Award” from the American Anthropological Association in recognition of his extensive work in public education on the importance of anthropological concepts. His newest book, “Safe Infant Sleep: Expert Answers to Your Cosleeping Questions”, for both medical professionals and the public, was published in 2020.
