CEA’s annual Research Forum invites subject matter experts across risk and resiliency disciplines to come together and discuss groundbreaking ways to improve the safety and security of our communities.
This year CEA will be teaming up with the Pacific Earthquake Engineering Research Center (PEER) to host the 2020 Research Forum on Residential Seismic Retrofits.
The 4th annual CEA Research Forum will be held virtually on Monday, October 26 and Tuesday, October 27, 2020.
This year’s topics will focus on:
Current understanding of seismic risk for wood-frame single-family residential (SFR) structures and the tools available
Describing the CEA/PEER project and findings
“Quantifying the Performance of Retrofit of Cripple Walls and Sill Plate Anchorage in Single-Family Wood-frame Buildings”
Identifying remaining gaps in research and potential research programs
Implications of SFR earthquake risks
