In this webinar, we will discuss the trends in global peace, the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic and climate change, and the implications for the Balkans.
Produced by IEP, the Global Peace Index (GPI) presents the most comprehensive data-driven analysis on trends in peace, its economic value, and how to develop peaceful societies. In this edition, the report will cover three new topics: trends in civil unrest, ecological threats, and the COVID-19 pandemic.
A keynote speech will be delivered by Mr. Srđan Majstorović, Chairman of the Governing Board of the European Policy Centre.
The GPI 2020 and COVID-19 & Peace reports will be presented by Mr. Serge Stroobants, Director of Europe, Middle East and North Africa at the Institute for Economics & Peace.
Then, the programme will follow with the comments from Dr. Simonida Kacarska, Director of the European Policy Institute, and Mr. Redion Qirjazi, Security Program Manager at the Institute for Democracy and Mediation. Mr. Qirjazi will also moderate the discussion and Q&A session.
