Digital Services Taxes (DSTs) are emerging as a new front in trade disputes. Several countries around the world are in the process of implementing taxes on business and activities conducted online. In response, the United States is considering 301 actions against countries that implement these taxes which they feel discriminate against leading U.S. firms such as Google, Apple, Facebook and Amazon.
