Dr. Rene Amaya
Dr. Amaya was born and raised in San Antonio, Texas. He attended medical school at UT Southwestern Medical School at Dallas. He completed his pediatric residency at Phoenix Children’s Hospital/Maricopa Medical Center in Arizona. He is board certified in both Pediatric Infectious Diseases and General Pediatrics by the American Board of Pediatrics. After completing this training he founded Pediatric Infectious Disease Specialists of Houston in 2002. Dr. Amaya is designated as a Certified Wound Specialist Physician (CWSP) by the American Board of Wound Management and is one of the few pediatricians in the United States to receive this designation. His wound care work has been published in numerous medical journals and he is a speaker at wound care conferences and seminars throughout the United States and Europe.
Mary Coughlin - Keynote Speaker

Mary Coughlin NNP, MS, RNC-E is an inspirational speaker, motivational coach, and transformational consultant with a clinical background that spans over 35 years. She graduated from Northeastern University where she received her BSN and MSN. Ms. Coughlin is currently the President and Founder of Caring Essentials Collaborative, LLC. Ms. Coughlin has published extensively on the topic of trauma informed developmental care for hospitalized infants, families, and clinicians. She has established quality measures and evidence-based best practice guidelines for trauma informed developmental care. Ms. Coughlin and her interdisciplinary faculty have created an assessment-based certificate program endorsed by the NIDCAP Federation International, the NANN, and the Council of International Neonatal Nurses. A mother of six and grandmother of 8 (and counting), Mary lives in Boston MA with her husband Dan and their dog George.
Jermaine & Corinthia Houston

Jermaine was born in Guyana, South America and came to the United States when he was 4 years old. With a strong desire to work in the medical field, Jermaine began his work career in food service at Loma Linda University Medical Center. He currently serves in behavioral health as a psychiatric technician at Dignity Health Community Hospital of San Bernardino. Corinthia was born and raised in California and developed a strong interest to work with at risk youth. She began her career as a para professional educator and currently pursuing a career as an educational psychologist for local school districts. Jermaine and Corinthia share two beautiful boys together. Mattias (1yr old) and Moses (4yr old) who is a NICU graduate after a 5 month stay, and will embark on preschool this 2021-22 school year.
Dr. Gilbert Martin, MD
Director of Pediatrics @Loma Linda University
Dr. Martin is Director Emeritus of the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at Emanate Health, Queen of the Valley Hospital and has been on the faculty since 1972. He is a Professor of Pediatrics at Loma Linda University, Loma Linda California. He is Editor Emeritus of the Journal of Perinatology. He is a past member of the Executive Committee of the Perinatal Section of the American Academy of Pediatrics. He is a past member of the Committee of the Fetus and Newborn and a member of the Coder's Committee of the Perinatal Section. He is past-president of the California Perinatal Association, and a member of the California Association of Neonatologists. He is the author of several books and treatises.
