Municipal Governance 101: Resort Village Candidate Information Session and Open Forum
To help you prepare for the upcoming municipal elections, Municipalities of Saskatchewan is hosting virtual education sessions on municipal governance. These sessions are open to everyone - those running for re-election, planning to run for the first time, or who just want to learn more about municipal governance. This session is designed specifically for residents from resort villages.

This session will include a presentation from the Ministry of Government Relations and a virtual forum where you can ask your municipal governance questions.

Megan Istace
Municipal Advisor @Ministry of Government Relations
Megan Istace is a Municipal Advisor from the Advisory Services and Municipal Relations branch in the Ministry of Government Relations. Before joining the Government of Saskatchewan, Megan spent eight years as an RM administrator in southeast Saskatchewan. She obtained her certificate in Local Government Authority from the U of R in 2011 and in 2019 received her class “A” certificate from the Rural Board of Examiners. This summer, Megan will be enjoying her summer holidays with her family settling into their new home.
Yvonne Jess
Chief Administrative Officer @Village of Elbow
Yvonne Jess holds an advanced certificate in local government authority, and has 22 years of experience in the field. She is currently the administrator for the Village of Elbow and the Resort Village of Mistusinne; having worked for the two municipalities for the last 19 years.
