Issues in Pain Management for Today's Case Manager
Despite improvement in pain management and availability of clinical treatment guidelines, patients are still suffering from pain. Negative consequences of undertreated pain are being recognized as a reason for further illnesses and poor quality of life. Pain is a global health issue that requires the attention of the health community. Pain management is complex and multifactorial; thus a deeper understanding of the barriers for proper and optimum pain management needs to be addressed in order to remedy the deficiencies among HCPs and improve patient care.

In our August Edition of Issues and Answers we have invited Yvonne D’Arcy, MS, APRN-C, CNS a Pain Management and Palliative Care specialists to take your questions and provide some answers that will help you lead your teams in improving care for people with chronic pain. We will not solve the problem of pain management in one hour, but we will try to help those who attend to start the conversations in your organization on how to improve the care patients with chronic pain receive.

In this webinar we will look to:
• Frame the issues surrounding chronic pain and chronic pain management.
• Discuss the various professionals involved in management of chronic pain.
• Share best practice and resources to assist people with chronic pain to

Please send us your best practices and questions so that Yonne can address them during the presentation.
