Dear MESG members,
I am pleased to announce that the second MESG event of the 2023 season featuring Ret. Col. Lawrence Wilkerson, Senior Non-Resident Fellow, Quincy Institute for Responsible Statecraft and co-founder with Major General Dennis Laich (USAR, Ret.) of the All-Volunteer Force Forum and Dr. Trita Parsi, Executive Vice President, Quincy Institute for Responsible Statecraft will be held on Wednesday 29 March 2023 (17:00-18:45 Ottawa time). Both of our speakers are eminent scholars and analysts focussing on international relations and diplomacy.
In this panel discussion, we will examine current developments in the Middle East, against the backdrop of increasing challenges to international law, democratic principles and social justice. Ostensibly, this is the time to seek an inclusive dialogue as a first step toward reconciliation and peace building in the region.

This event will be moderated by former Canadian Ambassador for Disarmament to the UN Ms. Peggy Mason.
