Cases of syphilis and congenital syphilis have risen dramatically and continue to rise. Effective and accessible syphilis testing is critical to reducing rates of transmission, and sexual and reproductive health (SRH) agencies have an important role to play in identifying and treating this disease. This webinar is the second in a two-part series on syphilis and congenital syphilis developed in collaboration with the Clinical Training Center for Sexual and Reproductive Health (CTC-SRH). It will provide agencies with guidance around implementation and expansion of syphilis testing, including point-of-care testing. The speakers will describe types of syphilis tests available, discuss considerations for using each type, and outline administrative, fiscal, and clinical strategies and steps for agencies preparing to implement or expand syphilis screening.
