The search for Syria’s 100,000 detained
Join the award-winning director of the new film 'Ayouni' Yasmin Fedda as she talks with Noura Ghazi, a human rights lawyer and activist, and Amer Matar, a former detainee and campaigner for his brother who was kidnapped by ISIS.

Filmed over six years and across multiple countries in search of answers, Ayouni follows Noura and Machi as they try to find their loved ones Bassel Safadi and Paolo Dall’Oglio, who are among the over 100,000 people detained by the Syrian regime, ISIS and other groups in Syria.

Faced with the limbo and pain of an overwhelming absence of information about the missing, hope is the only thing they have to hold on to.

The discussion will be chaired by Rula Asad, Executive Director of the Syrian Female Journalists’ Network (SFJN).

You can watch Ayouni before the webinar by registering for this event - and we’ll send you a free link to the film on Vimeo.

There will be time for questions, and you are welcome to submit questions in advance to media@thesyriacampaign.org
