Tris Munsick
Resilient ranch finances: protect your bottom line and your ranch legacy @Plank Stewardship initiative
As margins continue to tighten in the cattle businesses, it’s critical to analyze each component of the ranch enterprise to identify each enterprise’s profitability. Overall ranch profitability is the sum of various ranch activities and knowing the contribution of each ranch enterprise, whether cow/calf, hay production, heifer development, land, etc., it is essential to determining overall profitability. Tris Munsick, of the Plank Stewardship Imitative, will share a combination of academic and real-world knowledge from his experiences on both small and large ranches in the West.
Nicole Masters
Building resilient underground livestock: Principles for regenerative agriculture and soil health @Integrity Soils
What does healthy, resilient soil look, smell and feel like? What are my underground livestock and how do I feed them? How can I maximize rainfall use efficiencies? Am I getting the maximum quality and performance on my land? Soil health expert Nicole Masters reminds us that when we’re ill, we go to a doctor. Like our bodies, our ranches are complex ecosystems that need regular expert attention and “checkups.” Masters shares principles to find the heartbeat of your land’s health.
Dallas Mount
Growing a resilient forage base: the ins and outs of cell grazing @Ranch Management Consultants
Are you a cattle man or a grass man? In this interactive, virtual workshop, you’ll see why the most profitable cattlemen are grassmen first. Together, using a real world example, we will work through application of the first 2 cell grazing principles. Instructor Dallas Mount will help you discover how you can increase productivity, reduce your workload and increase profit.
