Ransomware and other malware attacks have been on an incredible rise over the past year. As areas open and travel is returning to normal, this increase is continuing. Industries such as hospitality and tourism have had relatively limited exposure in the past but now becoming an area of focus for this criminal activity.
This session will explore current trends in ransomware and malware attacks, highlighting recent cases in hospitality and tourism. We will look at proactive steps that businesses can take to help prevent these attacks, as well as preparation that can help reduce the impact if they do occur. The session will focus on steps that small and mid-size businesses can take, regardless of their internal technology and security staff and capabilities. Participants will also receive an Action Flyer with helpful steps, checklists, and online resources for their business as a takeaway.
