Series: New Models of Education?
Title: Resilient Higher Education & Digital Transformation
Speaker: Prof. Dr. Merlin Teodosia Suarez, De La Salle University, Philippines
Moderator: Kevin Henderson, Director of Digital Content and Programming, United Board.
The COVID-19 pandemic has flipped the administration and delivery of higher education upside down, creating the need for emergency online teaching protocols, and forcing many institutions to confront the possibility of long-term school closures and general uncertainty toward the future of in-person learning. This presentation explores possible futures in the wake of COVID-19 and proposes a path toward higher education’s “new normal,” through the creation of resilient higher education institutions that leverage existing technologies and develop strategies and policies to ensure sustainability and growth.
