Research shows that children from low-resource communities thrive in child-centered, interactive ideal learning programs. But how can we expand access? Building partnerships between Head Start grantees and ideal learning providers is one solution. We are thrilled to announce the release of the Ideal Learning Head Start Network's white paper "Building Partnerships to Access Head Start Funding: Guidance for Ideal Learning Providers." Please read the paper and join a conversation with Dr. Iheoma Iruka of HighScope Educational Research Foundation and Annie Frazer of Montessori Partnerships for Georgia on Thursday, June 18 from 12:00-1:15pm EDT to explore lessons learned about Head Start partnerships from the Ideal Learning Head Start Network.
Specifically, participants will gain:
- Knowledge about the Network's goals and how it works
- Strategies for ideal learning providers seeking, developing, and managing partnerships with existing Head Start grantees in order to serve children from disadvantaged households and their families
- Examples of existing successful ideal learning-Head Start partnerships, featuring Cori Gadansky and Mia Cooper (leaders from a Reggio Emilia-inspired Head Start program) and Stacy Nivert (leader of a Montessori Head Start program)
- Information on how to get involved in the Network
We will save the last 15 minutes for Q&A.
If you are unable to join us on June 18th but would still like to view the webinar, please register as we will be sending out a recording to all registrants!
