On November 8, 2022, America will be watching to see if New Yorkers put equity at the heart of government.
This year in an historical election, the New York City electorate will have the opportunity to vote on three monumental proposals that, if passed, would be the first step in dismantling longstanding systems of structural and institutional racism and advancing justice, equity, and fairness in government functions and services for all New Yorkers. These ballot proposals were shaped by the New York City Racial Justice Commission to change the City’s charter to make equity a governmental aim and responsibility.
As Member of FPWA, your organization and voice are critical in this moment to educate and inform members of your community and network about this seminal opportunity to make their voices heard on these unprecedented proposals that would greatly and positively affect them. We would love to partner with your organization to help raise awareness and get out the vote!
