- What were the cultural similarities that both jazz & hip hop came out of?

Nobuhle Ashanti ( Jazz Musician Cape Town, ZA)
An artist and radio personality from Cape Town, SA. Her creative disciplines include jazz piano, classical violin, music composition and arrangement. From the early age of 10, her music education developed vigorously through Beau Soleil Music Centre - studying classical violin - as well as various legendary youth music programs i.e The Little Giants, Sekunjalo Youth Program, Grahamstown International Youth Jazz Festival (to name a few) excelling in jazz style piano.

Marlon Richardson (Unlearn the World, LA)
UnLearn the World is an MC, beatmaker, and DJ. UnLearn the World’s artistic style is influenced by his upbringing in New York City during the late 1990s. Early on as a performer, UnLearn the World received notoriety as a supporting act for the Lyricist Lounge Club Series Tour, and has opened for Dead Prez, Killer Mike, and the Hip Hop icon Big Daddy Kane. In addition to working with artists and producers including Fat Joe, Jean Grae, Jake One, and The Beatnuts, UnLearn the World has shared the stage with Wu-Tang's Ghostface Killah, Skyzoo, Griselda, Jay Electronica, and Talib Kweli.

Philip Boakye Dua Oyinka, popularly known as Nana Asaase is a poet, linguist, story teller, voice artist, literary coach and writer. He is also a member of the National Folklore Board.
With a rich experience spanning more than a decade, Nana Asaase blends the English Language with local languages, employs vivid metaphors and music to present a bridge between tradition and modernity, providing tasteful African/Ghanaian Literary Art
