In conjunction with the Zuccaire Gallery’s current exhibition Revisiting 5+1, Dr. Courtney J. Martin, the Paul Mellon director of the Yale Center for British Art and Stony Brook University alumna, will discuss the 1969 Stony Brook exhibition 5+1 and the role of the late art critic and Stony Brook professor of art history Lawrence Alloway.

Introductory remarks will be delivered by Stony Brook University President Maurie McInnis. A moderated Q&A conversation will follow the talk.
