Unequal Europe Tackling Social, Economic & Regional Divides
With the project “Unequal Europe – Tackling Regional Disparities in Europe”, the Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung (FES) and the Foundation for European Progressive Studies (FEPS) have run analyses on socio- economic regional divide in 8 European countries: Sweden, Finland, Estonia, Romania, Italy, Germany, Spain, and France. The national disparity reports highlight some common features and trends which can be addressed by EU policies, building on the national studies and policy recommendations. FES and FEPS present on this occasion a Policy Study by Björn Hacker that puts forward suggestions for relaunching an EU agenda fit for the challenge of social and territorial cohesion.
