The Research.fi portal was first presented to the euroCRIS community during the Spring 2019 Membership Meeting in Helsinki/Espoo. Research.fi helps to find research and researchers in Finland. It was launched in 2020 and automatically updates information from research organisations’ CRIS and from funders registers. No information is entered manually in Research.fi. Thereby, it does not increase researchers’ reporting but aims to make the already existing information reusable through one access point.
At the moment, Research.fi contains information on publications, research data, research infrastructures, and funded projects. It also provides statistical information on the development of research resources and impact. The service is developed in phases and the next steps include, for example, a researchers’ profile tool and improved search functionalities based on semantic indexing.
