Through video, worksheets, self-evaluation and open discussion, this workshop will help the participant be able to understand the importance of how we talk to ourselves and other people what impact it can have on our recovery and the recovery of others. We will also see how overcoming obstacles in recovery can put us in the right path for finding joy in our lives.

Presenters:
Amy Hinton, Community Support Program Manager at LifeSkills, Inc. Amy has been working in the mental health field for 27 years. Amy was a Targeted Case Manager for LifeSkills for 20 years and the last 5 years she has been overseeing the Peer Support Program for LifeSkills. Amy helps to provide the Peer Support Curriculum Training for the State of Kentucky.

Ashley Wells, Adult Peer Support Specialist at LifeSkills, Inc. Ashley has been a Peer Support Specialist for the past 5 years. Ashley works to provide support to those getting services in Mental Health Outpatient Clinic, Women in Domestic Violence Shelter, and taken the lead position at the Consumer Operated Program.

Grant Johnson, Adult Peer Support Specialist at LifeSkills, Inc. Ashley has been a Peer Support Specialist for the past 3 ½ years. Grant works to provide support to those getting services in Mental Health Outpatient Clinic, provides support in the Adult Crisis Service Center, is the Western State Hospital Liaison and provides supports at the Consumer Operated Program.
